Every Year Jim does his Show, A tribute to a Legend, this year the tribute will be about JIM REEVES
. Jim Owen is truly a man of many talents. He's a great songwriter, and has many gold records to prove it. He's also a very talented actor, comedian, producer, director and recording artist. Dottie West called him a "legend", and Charlie Daniels simply called him a "superstar." His show in Branson, Missouri is a "must-see" on anyone's list. The show starts with laughter and ends with laughter with lots of classic country music in between. Jim sings some of the hits he's written, including the mega-hit "LOUISIANA WOMAN, MISSISSIPPI MAN" for Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn. He always includes the hits of country music's number one star, Hank Williams. Jim portrayed Hank in two television movies and won Public Television's highest award for his effort. If you love to laugh, and enjoy hearing the fabulous country music you grew up on, you absolutely must see THE JIM OWEN SHOW

"LOUISIANA WOMAN, MISSISSIPPI MAN" has been honoured again in 2005. CMT and the CMA named it the second most popular duet in the history of Country Music. Songs Jim written have sold over 30 million copies, and that one song accounts for almost half of those sales. Also, that year, "LOUISIANA WOMAN, MISSISSIPPI MAN" went over ONE MILLION plays on radio and television. Only a handful of songs have sold 13 million copies and even fewer have logged a million airplays. What a song!
